A New Way To Get OpenSource Release Announcements In The Stream
The new OpenSource Release Feed makes it really dead simple to broadcast your release announcements to the world. We switched to Statusnet a short while back which basically let’s you spread your announcement in a Twitter style. This combined with OpenID support as well as Facebook connect coming later today it could not be simpler. However, there is now yet another way to get your open source release announcements onto release feed.
Using Twitter? Then simply post your release announcement on Twitter as follows: @ossreleasefeed your announcement #osannounce – We will pick this up and add your release announcement to the release stream. It is that easy! We will also be adding a widget to the front page of the OpenSource Hub that will load all Tweets marked with #osannounce. So that is double exposure just doing what you are already doing.
Of course we would also love to see all off you on OpenSource Release Feed but, this is just another way you can interact with us. Looking forward to read all of your release announcements and provide even more exposure for your project.
